We love our little business but its time to let our heads rule our hearts and call it a day. We will be retiring at the end of July with a great deal of sadness but also with lots of plans for the future and so many fabulous memories.

Its been a wonderful four and a half years at The Old Railway Buildings. We have made some wonderful friends and had the privilege of being part of many unique projects. Its been a very special time and we'd like to thank every one of our customers for their support and lovely feedback. We will miss you!

We will be auctioning all our stock on the 12th and 13th of July and are currently working with Wellers of Guilford to catalogue and put items in to lots. The yard will remain open for viewings and all our current orders will be completed. Look out for more details over the coming weeks in the local press, online and on our Facebook page.

Unfortunately salvage yards like ours are now few and far between; eclectic, a bit ramshackle, a haven for routing and rummaging, good value for money and most of all friendly. However, we'd like to think that in an increasingly Eco friendly aware world there is still the opportunity for this special part of the retail industry to survive and thrive. With a little more free time and some projects in the planning we will certainly be visiting a few yards ourselves.

So as we embark on the next chapter of our life we wish you all well with your restorations, renovations, DIY projects, upcycling and repurposing.

Good luck and HAPPY SALVAGE HUNTING!!!

Duncan and Trudi
